Wow, quelle magnifique collection! Ce n'est cependant vraiment pas surprenant que Monsieur Sunny Fong Le Grand ait remporté la palme de Project Runway Canada (saison 2)... Depuis le début, il était dans une classe tout-à-fait à part, se démarquant complètement des autres concurrents.

Wow, what an amazing runway collection! It is no great surprise to anyone that Mister The Great Sunny Fong has won Project Runway Canada (season 2)... From the beginning, he was in a class all on his own, very separate from the rest of the designers.

Je suis très loin d'être une critique ou une connaisseuse dans le domaine de la mode, mais c'était pas mal hot (man!). Sa collection, inspirée par Alexandre Le Grand, a fait l'unanimité. Mais, la question principale demeure: où était Brad Pitt??!!

I am by no means a fashion critique or connoisseur, but this was awesome (dude!). His collection was inspired by Alexander The Great and boy, did it deliver. But, the main question is: where the heck was Brad Pitt??!!

La façon dont il a réussit à créer une collection si inspirante sans la transformer en costumes théâtrals doit avoir demandé beaucoup de savoir-faire et de retenue. Il a pu moderniser la Grèce Antique en rendant le tout frais, sans rigidité. Pas d'erreurs. La juxtaposition des matériaux utilisés, ainsi que l'extraordinaire savoir-faire manuel de même que l'équilibre qu'il apporte à ses pièces sont tout simplement fantastiques. Et en plus, il est tellement humble de son talent..! On veut juste lui faire un beau petit colleux.

The way that he managed to create such an inspired collection and not making it costumy must have required quite a lot of skills and restraint. He was able to bring Ancient Greece into modern day and make it extremely fresh, not contrived. It was flawless. The juxtaposition of the material used, the stunning workmanship and the balance that he brings to his pieces were absolutely fantastic. And he is sooo unbelievably humble about his talent..! You just want to give him a good hug (and fluff him up).

Comme je l'ai dit, je ne m'y connais pas vraiment en mode, mais il s'agit de quelques unes des plus belles pièces que j'ai vues dans un défilé de mode, même chez les professionnels. Après avoir vu plusieurs versions de cet émission (saison 1 du Canada, USA, Australie, Angleterre), je crois que ce qui surprend le plus c'est la maturité de ses pièces et le tout cohésif de sa collection finale. Le niveau de finition étant donné les contraintes de la compétition rend ses pièces vraiment impressionnantes. Bravo!

Like I said, I don't know much about fashion, but this is some of the best things I've seen on a runway, professionals (and planes) included. After having seen several version of this program (Canada season 1, USA, Australia, England), I think that what is the most surprising is the level of maturity of his pieces as well as the cohesiveness of his final collection. The level of finishing, despite the constraints of the competition, make his pieces very impressive. Bravo!

C'est tellement bien de voir un talent naturel comme celui-ci réussir à percer. L'émission finale était très émouvante puisque Sunny vient d'une famille asiatique très traditionnelle. Sa famille n'a jamais vraiment reconnu son talent de créateur, mais n'a aussi jamais reconnu sa relation avec son mari de maintenant 10 ans. De voir les émotions sortir de sa mère habituellement très stoïque, de même que l'interraction entre elle est le mari de Sunny, fut un summum émotionnel pour lui ainsi que pour tous ceux qui l'ont suivi et supporté lors de cette compétition.

It is so nice to see true natural talent like this shine through. The finale was a very moving moment, considering that Sunny comes from a very traditional asian background. His family never really acknowledged his talent as a creator, but never really acknowledged his husband of 10 years now. To see the effusion of emotions coming from his usually very stoïc mom and even the interraction between her and Sunny's husband was an emotional summum for him and for the viewers who have been following and rooting for him all along.
